To begin with, RusTeak Living – a Costa Rica Retreat for relaxation and entertainment – is more than just a place to stay, it’s a passion project brought to life by owners Steve and Veronica. After discovering the charm of this hidden mango grove, they envisioned creating a space where guests could relax, explore, and feel truly at home.
Over time — and with a whole lot of heart and hard work — they personally poured their energy into renovating each cottage and restoring the land, all with the goal of welcoming guests who share their love for nature, creativity, wellness, and meaningful connection. Their personal touch can be felt in every detail, from the rustic-chic design to the thoughtful layout of shared spaces.

Brenda, our retreat administrator, is your go-to for just about everything. Warm, proactive, smart, and full of good energy, she’s here to make sure your stay flows effortlessly, whether you’re booking a massage, joining a workshop, or just settling into your cottage.
You’ll also be greeted with genuine smiles by Berta and Michael, two of the kindest and most caring members of our team. Always ready to help, they bring warmth and joy to everything from preparing your space to making you feel right at home.
Raul and Cristian, our behind-the-scenes heroes, make sure that everything on the property runs smoothly. Friendly and hardworking, they’re responsible for all maintenance and repairs — ensuring the grounds stay beautiful and that everything is always up to standard. Thanks to their dedication, the retreat feels clean, safe, and well cared for.

Lovely home located in Hacienda Pinilla, a mile from the beach club. The gym and pool were well maintained and a short walk from the back door. Well stocked kitchen, bath and laundry facilities made the living arrangements great for two families!

Veronica's place was amazing. It is outside of town so it is far from the hustle and bustle of all the tourists in Tamarindo. There is a good pizza restaurant down the road. The location is scenic, beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend Veronica and her location.
